I'm a designer, content creator and storyteller based in İzmir. Here's how I got from behind the camera to social media, and from there to the pages of a journal:
Behind the camera
I studied Radio, Television and Cinema at Ankara University. I learned news writing at Doğan News Agency (2014) and the shooting and editing of programmes in TRT's production department (2015). In 2017–2018 I worked as art director, screenwriter and set photographer on four short films; Eski competed at the 29th Ankara Film Festival.
Fairy-tale narrator
I wrote and narrated pedagogically reviewed fairy tales for birmasal.com and masaldinle.tv, shaping new stories through surveys with children in several schools.
The city's pulse
I founded Mersin Life Guide, announcing the city's arts events. I ran social media for Salad&Salad, Konuk Kahvesi and Yeşilçam Coffee House, photographing and designing their menus. At Bilge Film & Advertising I created content for projects of Mersin's metropolitan and district municipalities.
Sixty sites, ten people
As a freelance project manager I ran the content and SEO of around 60 sports news websites with a 10-person editorial team.
İxora
As İxora Cosmetics' social media manager I led a team of two graphic designers and an SEO specialist, and managed and optimised the ad campaigns.
Art, design, academia
I'm doing an MA in Art and Design at İzmir Demokrasi University. I'm the Layout and Design Editor of JEMUR and the Social Media Manager of ICETOL. My first article looks at the typography of newspaper front pages after Galatasaray's 2000 UEFA Cup victory.
